The History of Harvestime Church

Rev. Kola and Funke Ewuosho (founders of Fountain of Wisdom Ministries) came, with their three children, to the UK in 2000 as missionaries. Between 1994 and 1995, God began to impress it on their hearts to relocate from Nigeria to the UK to do a work for Him and in simple obedience and faith they stepped out. Prior to this, they had been making frequent visits to the UK, ministering in different churches and ministries. Rev. Kola had offers to work with a couple of churches but none rested in his heart as the will of God for him.

Shortly after, one of the leaders of Bethel Revival Church, Englefield Green, approached Kola to come and help the church. The Bethel Revival church had been in existence for about seven years with an adult membership of about 10 and a history of several attempts to close down the church. Rev. Kola accepted the challenge to work with the church even though the activities of Fountain of Wisdom Ministries, such as the Saturday Bible school, couples' meetings, prayer meetings and Believers' Bible conferences etc, were still running separately.

Within nine months, under the apostolic oversight of Rev. Kola, with his wife Rev. Funke, ministering tirelessly, teaching, preaching and training, the church grew to about 30 adults in regular attendance. The leadership of the Bethel Revival Church decided to hand over the church fully to Fountain of Wisdom Ministries and the church was received as a Fountain of Wisdom Ministries church.

Following another year of growth and drastic changes, it became clear that the new developments within the church had no bearing to its past but had begun to take shape for a new future, hence the name Harvestime. Harvestime captures the prophetic destiny of what God had commissioned the Fountain of Wisdom Ministries to do in the UK.

Harvestime Church came into being in January 2003, as we moved into our new building in Virginia Water. Revs. Kola and Funke, having worked as a team from the Ministry's inception, lead the Apostolic team at Harvestime Church. They are committed to raising leaders so that the work can grow in leaps and bounds. Today, many nations from almost every continent are represented in the church. Harvestime is indeed a global church with a local expression.
